The purpose of the conference is to allow discussion and interaction among researchers on
the latest advances and developments in the areas of actuarial science and insurance, with
the aim to promote scienti c exchange between academics and graduate students in and
outside China.
The conference will jointly be hosted by the Center for Actuarial Studies and the School
of Mathematical Sciences, the Xiamen University, China, and it will be held on the main
campus of the university from June 24 to June 26, 2012. There will be 11 invited speak-
ers and they are: Hansjoerg Albrecher (Lausanne, Switzerland), Jan Dhaene (KUL, Bel-
gium), David Dickson (Melbourne, Australia), Hans Gerber (Lausanne, Switzerland), Marc
Goovaerts (KUL, Belgium), Junyi Guo (Nankai, China), Elias Shiu (Iowa, USA), Emiliano Valdez (UConn, USA), Guojing Wang (Soochow, China), Gordon Willmot (Waterloo,
Canada), Hailiang Yang (HKU, HK).
